Travel smart to Winterlude activities at Lansdowne and City Hall

Ottawa – Winterlude is an exciting time to be in Canada’s capital, and the City of Ottawa is proud to be an official partner of this annual festival. Activities run every weekend from January 30 to February 16, and many of those activities can be found at City facilities.

Looking for convenient ways to visit Winterlude sites? You can walk, skate, bike, or ride the free OLG Sno-Bus shuttle to and from the sites every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Family Day Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The service, which is sponsored by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) Commission, travels between Confederation Park (across from City Hall) and Dow’s Lake on a 10- to 15-minute frequency, with a convenient stop at Lansdowne Park. For more information, visit or call 613-741-4390 for OLG Sno-Bus details.

During Winterlude weekends, Queen Elizabeth Driveway between Laurier Avenue and Preston Street, and Laurier Avenue between Elgin Street and Nicholas Street will be closed to traffic. This closure will be in effect every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. These roads will also be closed Family Day, on Monday, February 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Parking is available at Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West, or at one of the many municipal parking lots where you can take the Sno-Bus or public transportation to and from Winterlude sites. If you are parking at City Hall use the Elgin Street entrance. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle. Remember that on-street parking restrictions are in effect. Follow posted signage.

If you plan on attending Ottawa 67’s games during Winterlude, your 67’s ticket gets you a free OC Transpo ride on regular public transit routes starting three hours before the game, during, and three hours after.
