Ottawa – An Ottawa holiday tradition continues this weekend when our community’s spirit of giving and sharing hops on board for the 2014 OC Transpo/Loblaw Annual Christmas Food Drive. This annual event is now in its 30th year.
Mayor Jim Watson, John Manconi, General Manager of OC Transpo, Alan Lawrie, Store Manager Loblaws, Gloucester Market, Loblaw Companies Limited and Michael Maidment, Executive Director, Ottawa Food Bank will greet Santa as he arrives on an OC Transpo bus to collect food donations as part of the 30th Annual OC Transpo/Loblaw Christmas Food Drive.

More than 500 OC Transpo and City of Ottawa employees, and their families and friends, have volunteered to collect food and cash donations at 20 participating Loblaw supermarkets around Ottawa.

Location: 20 participating Loblaws, Loblaw greatfood, Real Canadian Superstore, Your Independent Grocer, and nofrills locations across Ottawa.
The OC Transpo Santa bus will drop off donations at the Ottawa Food Bank to conclude the 30th annual OC Transpo Christmas Food Drive in partnership with Loblaw Companies Limited.
The ceremonial delivery will be attended by Mayor Jim Watson and John Manconi, General Manager of Transit Services and Michael Maidment, Executive Director, Ottawa Food Bank.
