Temporary lane closures begin Tuesday on Highway 417 at Pinecrest

For immediate release:

Ottawa –Highway 417 eastbound will be closed between Pinecrest Road and Woodroffe Avenue on Tuesday, April 7 between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Motorists should also anticipate intermittent lane reductions and ramp closures in the area from April 10 until the end of the month. The majority of the lane reductions and ramp closures will occur at night.

The closures are necessary to allow workers to begin preliminary work on improvements to the Pinecrest Road interchange and to eastbound transit operations on the highway. When work is complete in the fall of 2015, the improvements will include four eastbound through lanes and a wider eastbound auxiliary lane on the Queensway between the Pinecrest Road on-ramp and the southwest Transitway off-ramp.
