September Column

Dear neighbours,

It’s that time of year again; the kids have returned to school and the feeling of fall is in the air. Once again we are all getting ready for a busy fall.

Movie in the park

Despite the threat of rain and dark clouds I was pleased to welcome hundreds of residents to Lakeview Park for my annual Movie in the Park. Residents enjoyed popcorn and beverages while watching Kung Fu Panda 3. It was a great way to end the summer and nice to see so many Bay Ward residents come together to enjoy an outdoor movie experience. If you missed it, hopefully you can join us next year.

Cleaning the Capital
Autumn is a great time for families, friends and communities to come together, clean our City and help to keep it green!  If you or your organization register your clean-up before September 14th there are great prizes to be won. Capital Clean-Up runs until October 31st.   For more information and to register your clean-up you can visitottawa.ca. I would like to say thank you to all the volunteers who give time and help out.  Together we can keep Ottawa Beautiful!
