Mark was Re-elected today to the Regional & Single Tier Caucus of the Association of Municipalities Ontario at its annual convention in Windsor.
After having served the last several years representing Ottawa at the AMO board table along with the needs of other Regional and Single Tier municipalities Mark was once again chosen to represent colleagues from across Ontario in caucus.
AMO works with Municipalities to together make us stronger and better places to raise families, prosper businesses and grow our future.
Through AMO, Ontario’s 444 municipalities work together to achieve shared goals and meet common challenges. Tackling issues like interest arbitration, the infrastructure pressures of aging municipal assets and climate change are just part of the work AMO does. By providing a space for shared services and economies of scale AMO also helps communities band together and buy together to responsibly invest tax dollars.
Arranged into caucuses that represent the different styles and sizes of Ontario municipalities Ottawa is a member of the Regional and Single Tier style of Government caucus. Typically larger cities or groups of smaller cities forming larger regions this caucus serves the needs of residents throughout Ontario from east to west and north to south.
