MA: Ottawa Public Health highlights the importance of early dental health screening for preschoolers

Ottawa – Ottawa Public Health (OPH) will be offering dental screening to preschoolers at the Albert Street daycare. The event will highlight the importance of early dental screening for good dental and overall health. An OPH dental hygienist will perform a dental screening for preschoolers.

Throughout the year, registered OPH dental hygienists visit licensed daycares and elementary schools to offer free dental screenings.

Date:    Tuesday April 28

Time:    9:15 to 9:45 a.m.

Location:  Albert Street Child Care (Room 010, Ground Floor), 440 Albert Street

Parking:  Free public parking is available off Slater Street between Bronson Avenue and Bay Street, and on-street parking is available on Slater

Media availability:  9:45 to 10 a.m.

Prior to the dental screening demonstration, Councillor Catherine McKenney, member of the Ottawa Board of Health, will join daycare providers and preschoolers for an engaging presentation by an OPH dental hygienist on the importance of good oral health.
