The training field at Wesley Clover Parks from the FIFA Women's World Cup was officially handed over to the West Ottawa Soccer Club, the Nepean One Soccer Club and the Ottawa Sport and Social Club.
I was pleased to attend this handover as the councillor for the area and as a former soccer dad of two girls. Sport is essential for all young men and women and it is important to make it more accessible to all young people.
The new fields were built by FIFA and Soccer Canada and will now help solve a shortage of soccer fields in the west end of Ottawa.
Thanks to all of the partners who helped make this a reality! You can find more photos on our Flickr Page.
