OC Transpo expands service to growing communities and makes winter service adjustments
Ottawa – Starting Sunday, December 24, OC Transpo’s winter service will come into effect. Many of the changes happening this winter will improve service in growing communities.

With specific relevance to our Bay Ward community is the West Transitway Extension and Moodie Station.
On December 17, the West Transitway Extension will open to improve the reliability of service between downtown and Carling Campus. Starting on Sunday, most routes that currently travel on Highway 417 between Moodie Drive and Holly Acres Road will operate along the dedicated Transitway and will serve the new Moodie Station.
On December 24, Routes 66 and 152 will be modified to reduce travel times for customers travelling to and from Carling Campus. Route 66 will operate along the West Transitway extension and will no longer operate along Corkstown Road and through the Abbott Point of Care campus. Instead, Route 152 will be extended to Moodie Station via the Abbott Point of Care facility.

Seasonal schedule adjustments will also go into effect on December 24. Customers should visit octranspo.com and use the new travel planner to see if their normal trips are affected.
Paper tickets no longer sold:
Paper tickets are no longer being sold. Customers are encouraged to use Presto e-purse or cash instead as it will cost the same, or less. On Para Transpo, use ParaPay or cash. At four O-Train stations, use the new ticket machines to buy single-ride tickets for immediate use. Old tickets can be used on the bus (except at Greenboro Station) until April 30, 2018. Customers can also exchange old tickets towards new fare products at OC Transpo Customer Service Centres until August 31, 2018.
Customers can get a Presto card by visiting an OC Transpo Customer Service Centre or City of Ottawa Client Service Centre, online at prestocard.ca or by calling 1-877-378-6123. Customers can also get a Presto card at the new ticket machines at Greenboro, Mooney’s Bay, Carleton or Carling O-Train stations.
